Need Music for Your Film?

My name is Julie McCarthy and I am a 3rd-year composition major at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. As an aspiring film score composer with an interest in ethnomusicology, I am interested in furthering my education while expanding my hands-on experience in creating film scores. I recently earned a certificate from the Palomar Film Scoring Workshop led by two-time Emmy Award-winning composer Larry Groupe (The Contender), Rodger Neil (Mozart in the Jungle) and Lars Clutterham (Frozen). Earlier this year I was commissioned invited to score the background music for Lewis-Palmer High School documentary called “Options 38”. Check out this film produced by these young students. I want to offer my skills to students who might consider asking me to score their films as a volunteer.

I am available to compose now until January 1st, or again after June 4, 2017, if any students or faculty are interested.

Hope to connect soon. I am most easily reached by email: fairhilljm<at>gmail.com.

Thank you.
