Meet with an Advisor
To register for classes, new film students must complete advising with a Creative Industries Pathway Advisor. You will complete advising and registration during your appointment. Group advising appointments are recommended for new students.
I can't Make any of the Group Advising Appointments
If none of the posted appointments work for you, please contact advising at 303-360-4929 or email@example.com. Please note that it can take up to 3 business days to receive a response to do high demand.
Read the Weekly Newsletter
Once registered, you should start receiving newsletters from us every Saturday starting the week before classes. If you don’t receive a newsletter on the Saturday before class, please contact Haley Heer at firstname.lastname@example.org You can also sign up for the newsletter early!
Step 3 - Pay Your Tuition
Apply for the College Opportunity Fund (COF)
If you are a Colorado resident for tuition purposes and did not sign-up for COF through your admissions application, you can sign-up online. If you have any questions about your residency determination or COF, please contact the Admissions, Registration & Records Office at 303 360-4797.
Apply for Financial Aid
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see if you are eligible for any kind of aid (grants, loans, work-study and scholarships). Financial Aid can take 4 – 6 weeks to process, so don’t delay! The FAFSA is also required if you are interested in work study positions at the school.
Apply for Scholarships
The Community College of Aurora offers over $500,000 in scholarships every year! Nearly all scholarships CCA offers can be applied for by filling out a single application. Click here to fill out the one-stop Community College of Aurora Scholarship application. Visit our Financial Aid page for more aid opportunities.
Set up a Payment Plan
It takes time for a financial aid award to apply to your student account. If you have not received an award letter and you have not processed an acceptance of your financial aid for the current term, you should setup a payment plan. Signing up for a payment plan early allows for the lowest down payment options and guarantees your spot in class.
Activate Your Email
Your college email account is the official method of communication at CCA, so it is extremely important that you activate your account and check it frequently. Instructions to activate your email account will be sent to the email address you provided in your admissions application within 24 hours of the time you register for your first course at CCA.

Take your schedule to the bookstore to purchase your books, or purchase books through the online bookstore. Buy your books before classes begin to be prepared. The bookstore is located in the Student Centre on the Centretech Campus, 16000 E. Centretech Pkwy.
