Videographer for Furniture Making Contest

Videographer for Furniture Making Contest

D’Amore Interiors in Denver is holding a contest, which will need a videographer.

The contest is this: local furniture makers around the greater Denver area will be creating a custom piece of furniture, using whatever materials they choose. The twist – they must come to our loading dock, pick up a used pallet, and incorporate the pallet wood somewhere in their design. Contestants will have 8 weeks to complete their piece. The pieces will then be judged and a winner will be chosen by the 4 partners at D’Amore Interiors.

All of the pieces will be placed in our showroom during an event where we auction them off, and proceeds will go to a local charity. We need a videographer to film and produce the process of this contest. Filming the contestants as they make their pieces, interviewing them, interviewing the partner at D’Amore Interiors, filming the reveals and judging process, etc. We’re hoping to turn it into some of the local tv programs, and maybe even some national stations, to ultimately get it published.

At the end of the day, this is a charity event. None of the proceeds will be going to D’Amore Interiors. Because of this, our budget is already blown towards marketing the auction part of this event. We can’t offer any compensation for this position, but we’re hoping to find someone who would like to gain some great experience through this process. The dates aren’t set in stone yet, but we plan on getting started early February 2017, and the whole competition will last for roughly 2 months from start to finish.
